Something you all need to know if you drive in the hot sun for 12 hours with the top down your face gets burned! Also yo ears when your hair is short like mine is now.
WE saw a lot of beautiful country. We took all the back roads we only drove 600 miles but it took 13 hours.WE took all the court house pictures Rich had on his maps. Beautiful buildings lots of history!
WE saw the Erie Canal. Drove by it almost all day. We only got lost once at Hill Cumorah!! So we climbed the hill in the dark on a path then walked down the hill in the dark. It was also peaceful because we were the only ones there!!

That's nice you had the whole place to yourselves. Keep us posted on the trip, it sounds like you are both so exhaused at the end of the day it's all you can do to crawl into bed.
